Compared with traditional lathes

Machining accuracy: 

Traditional lathes are prone to cylindricity errors when processing holes with large length-to-diameter ratios, and it is difficult to ensure the concentricity of the hole system; double-head boring CNC machines can boring holes simultaneously with two axes, which can reduce the deformation of the workpiece and better ensure cylindricity and concentricity. The precision error can be controlled within a very small range, such as within ±0.01mm, which has significant advantages in machining the main bearing hole of the engine block.Processing 

efficiency: 

Traditional lathe single-tool processing has low efficiency for deep holes or multi-hole systems; double-head boring CNC machine tools can process symmetrical holes simultaneously on both axes. If a specific workpiece is processed, the time can be shortened by 40% - 60%.


Processing flexibility:

Traditional lathes have limitations in processing complex hole shapes; double-head boring CNC machine tools are controlled by CNC programming and can process complex hole structures such as special-shaped holes and stepped holes, adapting to the processing of modern complex parts.

Concentricity: 


A single-sided boring machine processes double holes in sequence, which is prone to concentricity deviations due to various factors, with an error of approximately ±0.03mm; a double-head boring CNC machine tool with two axes working at the same time can compensate for errors in real time, and the concentricity can reach ±0.03mm. Within 0.01mm.


Cutting force balance: 


The cutting force of a unilateral boring machine can easily cause displacement and deformation of the workpiece; the cutting force of a double-head boring CNC machine tool is relatively balanced, which can avoid excessive deformation when processing holes in thin-walled parts, ensuring accuracy and quality.
